Travel through Ozark Mountain country this holiday season and let a seemingly endless glow of lights guide your way. In America’s top holiday destination the twinkle of Christmas lights captures the imagination at every turn. Here are some of the best trails to drive through.

“Let There Be Lights” at the Promised Land Zoo

Branson’s newest trail-light attraction is a two-mile display located at Branson’s Promised Land Zoo on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway. Make sure to say hi to the reindeer that are residents of the zoo. There is also a Christmas village with a petting zoo, nativity animals, appearances from Santa and a gift shop.

Silver Dollar City

An Old Time Christmas was already one of the nation’s top rated Christmas celebrations and now the theme park has taken the holidays up a notch. Now featuring over 6.5 million lights throughout the property, make sure to stroll through Christmas in midtown. Don’t forget about Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Christmas light parade and the five-story LED tree.

Branson’s Gift of Lights

This 1.2 mile trail includes over 300 displays with more than a million LED lights. Located on Expressway lane, the Gift of Lights first debuted in 2015 and continues to amaze countless visitors each year. The Gift of Lights also partners with Christian Action Ministries to help collect non-perishable food items that will supply CAM’s food pantries.

Trail of Lights at Shepherd of the Hills

Rated by the Travel Channel as one of America’s Top Five drive through displays, the Trail of Lights transforms the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead into a winter wonderland. The Inspiration Tower becomes a 230 foot tall Christmas tree while animated characters tell stories to guests. With millions of lights across the 160 acres this is one stop you will want to make.
