Branson’s Spring Break To-Do List

Publish Date: February 20, 2017

Spring is in the air and Branson is the place to be. Many of the shows and attractions have already started for the season and if you are eager to get back to Branson, spring is as good a time as any to make that happen. For those who will be spring breaking Branson-style, check out the following list of activities you absolutely must do this year.

Tucked away in the heart of Branson is Branson’s Promised Land Zoo. This zoo offers many exciting animal habitats and even regularly scheduled live animal shows, feedings and up close animal encounters. One of the more popular encounters available is the Sloth Encounter. Because there is a paved path throughout the entire zoo, everyone in the family is able to see each exhibit display inside the zoo.

If you are looking for something to keep the thrill seekers in the family entertained during spring break, you may want to visit The Runaway Mountain Coaster. This mountain coaster provides a unique way to experience the beautiful scenery of the Ozark Mountains. You can enjoy this ride alone or with a passenger all while controlling your speed down the hill. It is highly recommended to experience this attraction at least once when you visit Branson.

Even if you have already been to the Titanic Museum Attraction, chances are you didn’t see everything. The museum is constantly adding new artifacts and displays throughout the year. This year is extra special because it is the 20th anniversary of the Titanic movie. From March 12 thru June 11 you will be able to see the actual costumes from the movie on display at the Titanic Museum.

The Branson Ferris Wheel made its debut in Branson last spring from Chicago’s historic Navy Pier and has been enjoyed by many families visiting the Ozarks since then. Of course the ferris wheel has been “Bransonized” by adding 16,000 LED lights choreographed to music by Michael Haygood from The Haygoods show.

A trip to Branson isn’t complete without taking in at least one show. Whether you are a loyal fan and see the same show every year or you like to switch it up each visit, you are sure to enjoy the shows in 2017. Be sure to check the Branson Show Tracker to see if your favorite entertainers or show have made any moves this year.

New for 2017

Something new for your family to enjoy this year is “The Festival of Wonder” at Silver Dollar City. This festival runs April 6 through 30, and includes brand new shows and dining inside the park. One of the most anticipated shows for this festival features the world’s largest playable harp that stretches the entire length of the Red Gold Heritage Hall. In addition to the exciting shows, the festival will also include brand new food creations such as “The World of Bacon” and many more options that are sure to please everyone in your family.

However your family wishes to enjoy your days in Branson, you are sure to create lasting memories. With so many new attractions and shows, you are sure to find something to please everyone in the family this year. Check your calendars and start planning because this Branson spring break is going to be the best one yet!
